At the 15th edition of TIFF ODA International Film Festival, the Cine European Panorama programme brings to Tetovo five films exploring powerful human and social themes, offering diverse perspectives from contemporary European cinema.

🎬 DUA

Directed by Blerta Basholli

In late-1990s Pristina, 13-year-old Dua tries to find her place among her peers and navigate the changes of adolescence as political and ethnic tensions in Kosovo escalate. After an event that shakes her community, Dua becomes a target herself and forms a strong bond with Maki, a courageous girl who inspires her to discover an unexpected form of resistance. Amid everyday violence and the growing threat of expulsion, Dua is forced to confront fear, change and the need to grow up quickly.
